Dear Viewer, Thank you for your interest in Wildlife From Scratch. I hope you enjoy the products as much as I have enjoyed creating them. The artwork process is scratchboard. Scratchboard is created with a layer of white clay covered completely with India ink. The ink is then etched or "scratched" with a sharp tool to show the white layer underneath. Most of the originals take over 40 hours to complete. Self taught, I have been creating scratchboard wildlife for the past 20 years, mostly as a hobby and selling at local art shows. The product line now includes ceramic art tiles, tile boxes and magnets I live in a small town in the country near Orlando called Geneva, Florida on 2 1/2 acres with all my critters. I have 5 cats, a horse, 2 goats, a cockatiel and a lop rabbit who lives indoors and thinks she is a cat. My husband, Drew, and I have been married 22 years. He is also an animal artist but uses a different medium. He is a full time taxidermist and has been so for over 30 years.
